Notes

Build notes

Sample data: values are illustrative, not measured.

Two 10PLB76-8 woofers in a shared ported chamber, wired in parallel to a 4 Ω load. The DE250 1“ compression driver is mounted on a 90° waveguide. Active bi-amp required.

The single-woofer sim (woofer.csv) models one driver in the full cabinet volume, useful for evaluating substitute 10“ drivers against the 10PLB76 in the same alignment. The combined system sim (spl.csv) shows the 3 dB gain from the second woofer and the full HF extension through the DE250.

Crossover

  • LF/HF: 1800 Hz LR4 (24 dB/oct); DE250 minimum crossover is 1500 Hz
  • High-pass at 65 Hz to protect woofers near excursion limit

Wiring

Both woofers in parallel: 8 Ω + 8 Ω → 4 Ω nominal. Verify amp stability at 4 Ω. DE250 on a separate 8 Ω channel.
