Notes
Build notes
Sample data: values are illustrative, not measured.
18“ tapped horn with a folded path. The driver fires into a tapered horn that doubles back on itself, cutting cabinet depth while keeping mouth area.
Key design choices
- Horn mouth area: ~2400 cm²
- Horn expansion ratio: ~1.4
- Throat area matched to driver Sd
- Internal bracing every 300 mm
Tuning
The design is optimised for flat response from 35 Hz upward. Low-pass at 80-100 Hz when used in a system.
