Classic 18“ dual-chamber bandpass tuned for kick frequencies. The front chamber acts as a high-pass filter and the rear chamber as a low-pass filter, producing a natural bandpass response centred around 60-120 Hz with steep skirts outside that range.
Chamber tuning
- Rear chamber: ~60 L, tuned at 52 Hz
- Front chamber: ~30 L, tuned at 115 Hz
- Both chambers vented with slot ports
Usage
Typically crossed at 80-120 Hz to subs below and mids above. The steep bandpass roll-off means minimal low-frequency bleed and no high-mid content: all kick, nothing else.
